Perfect Post-Lockdown Plants
Now that things are almost back to normal hopefully we’ll all be spending a little less time indoors and more of our summer out in the world. But that doesn’t mean we need to neglect our indoor jungles, it’s still important to have a green and calm space to return home to.
We’ve made a list of undemanding and easy care plants that will allow you to go out and enjoy post-lockdown life and still return home to a cute mini jungle:
Aspidistra
Aspidistras can handle the lot. low light, droughts, low humidity and poor air quality. It’s the plant that every plant beginner (or killer) needs in their life.
ZZ
ZZs are super low maintenance, they store water in their rhizomes so a forgotten watering won’t do any damage to your plant. Both the standard and Raven form are great easy care additions to your home.
Snake Plants
They like to dry out between waterings so a few forgotten waterings will do no harm to these statement plants. They have no extra humidity needs so will be happy left to their own devices.
Monstera Deliciosa
These guys are quite content to look after themselves for the most part, average home humidity is just fine and waterings every 7 to 10 days are all these guys need to keep them looking good.
Cacti & Succulents
They are known to be super low maintenance. As long as they have good light, most cacti are quite happy to look after themselves between waterings. In winter, many are happy to go months without being watered.
